Proud Kitty on a Fishy

They used to sell this at Macdonalds.

I wish I had bought this before when they were selling it. But you know Macdonald's...

Sometimes they don't sell the exact toy that you want. I was never able to find it.

It's the funniest one in my opinion. Look at how snobby Hello Kitty looks. And she's riding a fish that's bigger than her. Seems comical, in a cute way.

Trip to Okinawa

I found another one of these art cans!

All aboard!

My cruise trip to Okinawa, Japan

The 9 deck boat had 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, a casino, a few restaurants with all you can eat, theatres and much more to entertain yourself. Although seasick for the first day, I was entertained.

the ocean view was beautiful

and so is Okinawa and its people/fashion

I'd describe it as a Japanese version of Hawaii. I've never been to Hawaii... :P
But there are shops with 'Aloha' in the name and the clothing shop sells a lot of tropical style wear.

I spent most of the day shopping on International street (國際街). It's very touristy.

I went to the fish market and had some really good tuna sashimi. About 500 yen for a lot of tuna.

and bought lots of snacks to take home

some cool clothes and accessories

I especially love to buy fashion magazines that come with "free stuff."
I scored a couple of cool Marc Jacobs wristlets!!

Happy trip!!

How is this possible?

There's air on the bottom and my orange juice is on top! Ta-daaaaaa!!

I'm a magician!

No glue or weird optical illusions.

Just that I didn't know what I was buying.

Some weird jelly orange drink.

Because I couldn't read the label. Hard to drink, but it tastes not bad :)

My Least Favorite Color

As a little kid, my favorite color was red. But I think that's because society labeled certain colors as being more "masculine"(e.g. blue, black) and more "feminine" (e.g. pink, red).

And teachers lead us to believe we MUST have a favorite color, favorite number, favorite animal, favorite tv show, favorite movie... etc.

But I think favorites can change all the time.

Why must we pick one?

I remember I liked red and hated black. Purely for femininity's sake. Now I love black. Fashion changes all the time and I noticed people tend to like colors that look good and/or are in style. I like colors that look good.

It makes sense.

One day, as a little girl, coloring with my crayons. I discovered my least favorite color. I was coloring a picture with all the colors of the rainbow. And it wasn't until I added green...

I thought, oh what happened? It's so much uglier now.

Especially if there's yellow in the picture too. They don't seem to like each other. But I will almost always choose yellow over green.

a demonstration:

a simple picture with many colors

it looks ok

now add some green...

and yuck. I've ruined it.

But of course I don't hate green. There are times it looks good. How could I say no to an emerald green dress?

But I'm just saying, If I had to pick a least favorite color...

Hanzhou, China

These are pictures from when I went to Hanzhou in China. It's probably the cleanest most naturally beautiful place in China.

The hostel I stayed at was nicely decorated. Pretty cheap for a shared room for 4 people. I can't remember how much exactly.

And the city is built around a very romantic lake. Westlake 西湖. My pictures could not capture it's true beauty.

A modern department store. It was pretty empty when I was there. I guess because the economy's not doing too well? Or maybe it was a weekday and everyone was working.

And at night, the city is just as impressive. I enjoyed the fresh air and the scenery.

and I saw the famous play "Impression West lake" by director Zhang Yimou 張藝謀 (also known for directing Hero and House of Flying Daggers).

It was cool!!! People walking on water, good music, and interesting choreography. Although at one point the main actor slipped and fell! The whole crowd gasped. Um... that wasn't supposed to happen right?

Well, I guess walking on water is a slippery job.

But he quickly got up and picked up where he left off. Yes, the show must go on! *claps*

A HUGE moth. You can check out the size compared to my hand on the bottom. And it was sleeping, a very deep sleep, because it didn't try to fly away, even after a gentle push with a piece of paper.

Next day, some shopping and eating. The architecture is beautiful.

Yay, 85° Cafe is here too!

And I'll end the post with a picture of some big-ass Ginseng in a store shop window. How long did that take to grow!

New Nails with Sparkly Tips

I re-did my nails with gold and pink sparkly tips.

I don't think I could ever get nail extensions. Although they look good, I use my hands way too much and would probably break them within a day.

Sims 3

Sims 1

I remember this game was fun when I first started playing because I felt like god. I could create and control a family. I spent endless hours playing and trying out different things. I could do things that I couldn't shamelessly do in real life. Like pee on the floor. There was lots of room for improvement which brings me to...

Sims 2

My sims family finally has a purpose in life! They age and have babies and grow old and die. It made me realize Sims 1 was pointless; where the kids never grew up and I was basically immortal unless I forced my sim to starve or accidentally burn them in a fire.

(Or was it an accident? *evil laugh* I needed some excitement)

Not to mention I could finally hit on the NPC (non playing characters) like the maid ;) and the firemen. And we get to see them "woohoo" kinda. Bring on the Nude Patch!!

So, it seemed perfect. And just when it couldn't be more perfect, I found out about the expansion packs :O

Yay, Sims Seasons, Open for Business, University, Nightlife, Pets... etc.

Took a long time to load sometimes when switching locations but it was really interactive and a fun-filled simulation of all the little activities you can do in real life.

So I couldn't possible imagine how it could get any better.

Enter Sims 3

Sims 3

Better graphics. More control. Better neighborhood. And more purpose to life. I can't really explain how it's so much better other than telling you to try and play it. Also changing locations is a smooth process. You can make money in many ways. But... I finally gave in and started the money cheat again.

So I don't know about other people but when I finally get everything I want in my "sims life" (waa... why not real life) then I start "experimenting" with different things. When I found out that you can make ghost babies! I thought, NO WAY. I have to try this!!

And so I did. And many other things. I lead a fairly bisexual gaming lifestyle btw ;) What do you call it when you woohoo with ghosts? Is my sims trisexual? Also ghosts can't starve to death. Duh, they're dead!! I've tried :P.

And many other things... I need a life.

Bored with Ugly Sandals?

I wanted some cute sandals, and wanted something cheap too. But it was hard to find exactly what I was looking for so I ended up doing some modifications.

Found sandals with cheap crystals glued to the straps. The sandals were really cheap...

and I peeled them all off. I wanted something simple yet cute.
So I glued/sewed on some ribbon and attached a charm and voila!

I think it looks way more wearable, plus it's original and looks cute.
