Hanzhou, China

These are pictures from when I went to Hanzhou in China. It's probably the cleanest most naturally beautiful place in China.

The hostel I stayed at was nicely decorated. Pretty cheap for a shared room for 4 people. I can't remember how much exactly.

And the city is built around a very romantic lake. Westlake 西湖. My pictures could not capture it's true beauty.

A modern department store. It was pretty empty when I was there. I guess because the economy's not doing too well? Or maybe it was a weekday and everyone was working.

And at night, the city is just as impressive. I enjoyed the fresh air and the scenery.

and I saw the famous play "Impression West lake" by director Zhang Yimou 張藝謀 (also known for directing Hero and House of Flying Daggers).

It was cool!!! People walking on water, good music, and interesting choreography. Although at one point the main actor slipped and fell! The whole crowd gasped. Um... that wasn't supposed to happen right?

Well, I guess walking on water is a slippery job.

But he quickly got up and picked up where he left off. Yes, the show must go on! *claps*

A HUGE moth. You can check out the size compared to my hand on the bottom. And it was sleeping, a very deep sleep, because it didn't try to fly away, even after a gentle push with a piece of paper.

Next day, some shopping and eating. The architecture is beautiful.

Yay, 85° Cafe is here too!

And I'll end the post with a picture of some big-ass Ginseng in a store shop window. How long did that take to grow!
